Photo shoots, DreamSacks style

Several times a year Dreamsacks photo shoots take place. There is a lot of thought and organization that goes into preparing for and executing the shoots. From receiving the sample pieces, planning outfits and setting a date with the photographer to finding models, hiring hair & makeup artist, and guiding and watching the shots to keep them sharp and beautiful.

Here are a couple shots of me, hard at work! You may recognize these settings in our new catalog that is coming soon. Hope you enjoy!

Ten Ways to ‘Green’ Your Life

1. Use compostable trash bags in your home. I recently found Natural Value bags that were less expensive than plain plastic- and they work really well.

2. If you must use paper towels, use 100% Post Consumer Recycled Products- or just try rags instead of paper towels.

4. Use a clothesline or drying rack. Your clothing will look better and last longer.

5. No bottled water. Kick the habit. I know you can! If you don’t want to buy a water bottle you can reuse a glass juice or tea bottle.

6. Buy or grow local, organic food. Your body and planet will thank you.

7. Consider buying bamboo, organic cotton or hemp clothing and bedding. Conventional alternatives have an absurd amount of pesticides and chemicals in them.

8. Buy in bulk when possible. Less packaging is better all around.

9. Instead of adjusting the thermostat, layer up or down. Try bamboo for its thermodynamic properties.

The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market

We just spent a week in Atlanta at the gift show – AmericasMart – held twice a year. www.americasmart.com   



It is always fun for us to meet with our wholesale customers from across the USA.  We had a chance to show off our new fall items – hand dyed scarves, tunic pajamas, V-neck shirts and nightshirts, baby onesies and much more.

Our new Isis Dress was a huge hit.  We sold out in the first day.  Lucky for us, the factory is rushing another order to us so they will be back in stock by July 30th.



We loved having our customers visit us wearing their favorite DreamSacks apparel.
